Speak Out. Create Change.

World Hemophilia Day

Because hemophilia, a bleeding disorder, is affecting approximately 1 in 10,000 people and some 6.9 million people are living with a bleeding disorder. More importantly, only 25% of those suffering ့emophilia are diagnosed and the rest do not receive adequate care.

That is why slogan for this year World Hemophilia Day 2014 is “Speak Out. Create Change”. Every year on April 17, World Hemophilia Day is observed around the world to increase awareness of hemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders. This is a critical effort with an ultimate goal of ensuring better diagnosis and access to care for the millions who have a rare bleeding disorder yet remain without treatment.
